May, 20th or  Mandarin is 【五二零】 is pronounced wǔ èr líng which sounds a little like ‘I love you’ 【我爱你】wǒ ài nǐ.
This means that every May, 20th there are tons of weddings, lots of people giving gifts to their girlfriends/boyfriends/spouses etc. and in many cities, the cost of flowers will temporarily double.
